TERMS OF SERVICES

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before acknowledging.

By agreeing to purchase from EAST COAST COLLECTORS SERVICE (“ECCS”), you accept these Terms. These Terms apply to each purchase of product or service from ECCS. 

 

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

LABELING PERSONAL ITEMS

 When sending a personal item(s) for a signing, you must label the item(s) with your personal identifying information, preferable on the back of your item. Please include at least the following:

  • Order # (if you purchased the signature on our site)

  • Name

  • Email

I acknowledge that any request is not guaranteed. A request could include any of the following:

  • Specific pen type / ink color

  • Signature location

  • Inscription or personalization as requested by you

  • Quote as requested by you

  • Location of authentication sticker (if authentication is requested). Some signings have mandatory authentication and mandatory location to place the authentication sticker.

 

PRESALE AUTOGRAPHS POLICY

We do not accept returns on pre-sale autograph signing events. Non-personalized autographs from our store, may be returned to us for a full refund less shipping within 7 days of receipt using USPS delivery dates. Merchandise must be returned in excellent condition so we may re-sale to another customer. Wholesale autographs and personalized autographs will not be accepted (unless our error). Due to changes with the way PayPal is handling transactions, currently, any order cancelled by either ECCS or by the customer will be refunded minus the PayPal fee/Credit Card fee portion & administrative fees (and shipping fees on send-in orders, if canceled before a signing deadline).

It is the customers responsibility to make sure your item arrives to us on time by the send in deadline. Refunds will not be given for items that do not arrive on time, as agents and autograph signers are paid in advance of signing based upon paid orders. While we do try to work with the customer in almost every situation, we cannot simply give a refund because your item did not arrive on time, especially if the autograph signer as already been paid.

We only accept returns if the item is damaged or you were sent the wrong item. If the item is damaged we will send you a return label and will refund/replace your item.

ECCS will try our absolute best to get any request(s) you may have, but there are some things that are out of our control. If something is missed such as an inscription that was paid for, a refund would be given immediately. We reserve the right to adhere to any refusal(s) made by the talent (celebrity, artist, creator, or whomever is signing the item) or a member of their team (agent or representative).

During any signing, there are risks of damage to an item or signature. ECCS is not liable for any damage that happens when your item is being signed. Although very rare, it is possible and damage is defined by, but not limited to, any of the following:

 

  • Pen malfunction (smearing, ink not adhering, ink bleeding or pooling, pen drying up during signature, etc)

  • Misspelled names, character names, quotes or any other inscriptions (this also includes talent making a change to a request)

  • Damage such as a crease, scratch, water spot, rips

  • Any other damage to an item while the talent is physically signing the item (fingerprint, smudged signature, etc)

  • ECCS is not responsible for how ink may adhere to send in items. There is no way to foresee how markers will adhere to items we do not provide. While we do take every possible precaution, any send in item has assumption of risk solely on the customer.

 

ECCS does everything we can to minimize risks such as properly prepping paint pens, testing each pen a second time just before being used, switching pens when they start to streak, fade, etc.

 *While we do our very best to handle your posters with care & like they are our own, please be advised normal wear & tear is normal during a bulk private signing and is at your own risk*

 

CONSIGNMENT AUTOGRAPH POLICY

ECCS does our best to predict what an autograph cost might be at table price on signings that we are not directly involved with such as a consignment at a convention.  Our fee for a consignment is a base price of $20 per autograph above price paid to talent on small flats.  Any inscription requested is at an additional fee.  Any price difference from time order is placed (higher or lower) will be dealt with after signing is completed with individual customer on a case by case basis before any item is shipped. It is the customer's responsibility to pay for the difference, if the fee is higher at time of signing. No contact will be made during the signing to check with customer regarding price difference. This is part of the risk with consignment autographs. Any refusal to pay the balance will result in item not being returned until balance is paid in full (up to 3 months) and refusal for any further orders with ECCS.

 

SHIPPING

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based.  To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

ECCS is not responsible or liable for damage or loss during shipping to us or back to you unless insured.  Please package your items for shipping accordingly. We return your item in the same packaging you send to us (if possible) or more securely it not. We highly recommend insuring your item when shipping to us. If your item arrives to our office in a damaged package, we will notify the customer. When returning items, we ship via USPS Priority Mail/UPS. International customers are responsible for all customs, taxes, duties, etc that your country may charge and we are unable to understate the cost of items/signatures purchased.

If an item is damaged in shipping to you or if a package is lost during shipping to you, an insurance claim must be filed within 60 days of shipment or will automatically be declined and ECCS will not be held responsible.

 

UK CUSTOMERS

As of July 1, 2021 we are unable to ship packages with customs values under $200 due to new VAT laws. If ordering items under $200 you will need to either purchase another item that will ship at the same time to have a minimum customs amount of $200 or we can value the item at $200 regardless of cost. PAYMENT AND REFUND

When purchasing items from our “Items for Sale” section, refunds are only accepted due to items arriving damaged and must be requested within 7 days of receipt of item(s). In order to file a return, all packaging materials must be kept with the item to allow insurance claim to be filed and item and packaging may need to be inspected by the carrier to approve insurance claim. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of notification of a damaged item. Due to the nature of signed collectibles, no other returns are allowed.

When purchasing autographs, I acknowledge that payment in full is due at the time of purchase. All purchases are non-refundable, except in the instance that a convention or talent cancels for any reason (in this instance a refund will be given for the purchased signature cost, minus the 4% processing fee and return shipping).

 

STORE RETURN POLICY

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper (USPS, UPS, etc), however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes for your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

I personally, knowingly, and voluntarily acknowledge all these risks. By purchasing from ECCS, I personally, freely and expressly accept any and all risks and release liability of ECCS.

 

By purchasing, I acknowledge and accept all “Terms”, “Assumption of Risk”, and “Payment and Refund” conditions. All orders are final.
